Another movie that came out this past year is called A Quiet Place. This movie in a world where you can't speak or make any noise because there are creatures that will hunt and kill you. These monsters have no eyes so their hearing and smelling senses are super enhanced, which is why you can't make any sound. This movie follows a family of four, who must survive on a farm with the creatures close by in a forest. The parents will do anything to protect their kids. The daughter, Regan, is deaf and her father has spent months trying to make a functioning hearing aid for her using a radio system. Regan is angry at her dad for trying to fix something that cant be fixed because she has given up and doesn't think he loves her anymore. One of my new favorite movies is called To All The Boys I Loved Before. It is a movie about a girl named Lara Jean who's mother passed away when she was younger. Lara Jean likes to write a love letter to all the boys that she has loved in the past. Her older sister just left for college, and her younger sister mails those letters to try to get Lara Jean to be more social and meet new people. The movie follows Lara Jean and how she deals with all of her previous crushes reading her old letters. I think this movie is adorable and entertaining. Some people may be able to relate to it because it is about a young and shy girl getting through high school. This movie came out in August of 2018 and is very popular mostly for teen girls. To All The Boys I Loved Before is also Netflix Original movie. Both of the main actors, Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, became big stars after this movie came out. A movie I have recently watched for the first time was the Sixth Sense. Even though I saw it only a couple of weeks ago, it came out in 1999. The Sixth Sense is a mystery movie about a child psychiatrist named Malcolm who is helping a young boy who claims to be able to see dead people or ghosts. I would call this movie a mystery/thriller because it is very suspenseful and has a creepy feel to it.

This blog is about some of my favorite movies and popular or trending movies. I will be telling about the movie itself, what I think of it personally, and who I would recommend it to. My favorite genre of movie is sci-fi, but there will be other types of movies too. I will be asking my friends their favorite movies and genres so there's a variety of good movies to choose from if you are looking for something new to watch. I chose to make a blog about movies because when I am not playing volleyball or at school, I like to spend my free time watching movies mostly on Netflix.
